B is for Blue-Ringed Octopus.

Fluorescent blue and black rings, on an almost pocket sized body. And those legs. Imagine them wrapped around you. So adorable! So cute!

Don’t you just want to pick him up and give him a cuddle?

Not so fast.

I wouldn’t if I were you. Peril awaits. One tiny bite will have you rushing to ring 000. When those rings change colour, it’s time to swim away. It is a Blue-Ringed Octopus after all, one of Australia’s most deadly animals.

The next letter of the Australian Alphabet is C. Who shall we see there?
